I started this newsletter last year for a few reasons. I wanted to:
Get more involved in the weather community.
Find a new way to engage with my hobbies.
Build a portfolio of sorts.
Prove that I could publish content on a regular schedule.
I’m a technical writer by day so writing a newsletter seemed pretty natural. It was also an opportunity to write in a more relaxed voice, which has been a lot of fun.
The first Weather Feed post went out on February 3rd, 2023. There have been roughly 77 posts since then and things changed a bit with time. I’ve enjoyed writing this newsletter and I sincerely hope you’ve enjoyed reading it. I wanted the newsletter to have good info but I also wanted it to be a little fun. I can’t thank you enough for reading (but I’ll try).
After looking back at the last year, I’ve decided to close down the newsletter. If you’re a paid subscriber, I’m going to refund your payment. Thank you so much for the support but since I won’t be writing, you shouldn’t be paying!
It might not seem like it’d take much time to put this newsletter together but after reading articles, watching videos, drafting, and revising, a good chunk of my free time is used up. I don’t regret having spent the time at all, I just think it’s time to explore some other stuff and while it’s a self-imposed obligation, it’ll be nice not to have to plan for writing the newsletter.
Thank you again for reading. It’s been a real pleasure 💙.
I’m on Bluesky and LinkedIn if you’re interested.
That’s it for now, see you around weather fam. I’ll leave you with a (somewhat fitting) sunset.
I am going to miss your upbeat and informative newsletters, I learned a lot and they were fun to read. Good luck with whatever inspires you t try next. 😘
